Friendly, Intelligent, Energetic, Playful, Loyal, Social
The Labradoodle is a friendly, people loving mix that often combines the Poodle’s smarts with the Labrador Retriever’s easygoing charm. Many Labradoodles are playful, social, and quick to learn, which is why they are so popular with families. Coat type and shedding can vary from dog to dog, but most do best with regular grooming, daily exercise, and plenty of time with their humans.

History: The Labradoodle was first bred in Australia during the 1980s by Wally Conron in an effort to create a hypoallergenic guide dog. By crossing a Standard Poodle with a Labrador Retriever, breeders hoped to combine the poodle’s low-shedding coat with the Lab’s trainability and gentle nature. Although not officially recognized as a pure breed, Labradoodles have grown in popularity as intelligent, affectionate, and family-friendly pets that thrive on companionship and physical activity.
