History: The Cairn Terrier is one of Scotland’s oldest terrier breeds, originally bred to hunt vermin among rock piles or “cairns.” Their fearless attitude and loyalty made them ideal working dogs. Their enduring fame grew after starring in Hollywood, particularly as Toto in The Wizard of Oz.
